Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone, the P30, is coming to Kenya next week. The phone was unveiled in Paris late last month and is on its way to Kenya. Huawei has shared this information through its official Twitter account saying that the phone will be here on April 10, one week from today. It is impressive to see the company launch the P30 series in the country this fast as this is not the case with other manufacturers. Some manufacturers take months before unveiling their latest smartphones in the local market and its good to see that is changing. At this…

WhatsApp is one of the best apps I have on my phone. It makes communication easy and smooth but one thing I hate about it is that people can add you to random groups and there is nothing you can do to prevent that. Even though groups can be useful, you never have control over who can add you to them. You may wake up one day and find yourself in a few WhatsApp groups that you may not want to be in. Anyone can add you to a WhatsApp group and in some cases leaving the group will just…

Dark mode is a feature we have come to see on most of the apps we use on a regular basis. There are some apps with real dark mode while others have something close to that. Twitter’s so called dark mode is not really dark mode as it is just night mode with a darker shade of blue and not a deep black one. Most people who have used this feature do not have a big problem with it but some people who are very picky about this and have never liked it. For those using Twitter for iOS, real…

Unveiled at MWC 2019, the Nokia 1 Plus is finally making its way to Kenya this week. The price is still unknown but it should be available for Ksh 10,000 or somewhere around there. The Nokia 1 Plus is replacing the Nokia 1 from last year that you can get in Kenya for as low as Ksh 5,800. Compared with the original Nokia 1, the Nokia 1 Plus comes with a bigger display and feels much better in my opinion. It has a polycarbonate build that is better than what the Nokia 1 had. It feels much better and its…

While at the university during those days, I could not help but feel jealous of my fellow women who walked around in calculated moves with new and state-of-the-art laptops. Those days, without a laptop, studying was a nightmare. You had to literally beg someone, if possible go on your knees so that they could have you use their laptops for assignments and research. Those with cash used to go to the cyber cafes but who can forget the old antiquated desktops in cyber cafes those days? A computer would take ages to turn on and by the time it is…
