The new series is dubbed Dimensity and the company even announced the first chip in line – Dimensity 1000 5G – yesterday. Dimensity 1000 5G is crafted from the 7nm manufacturing process. The chip is integrated with 5G which gives it more advantages in terms of power-saving, unlike processors that need a separate 5G modem. During the launch event in China today where the company unveiled the Huawei MatePad Pro, Huawei’s CEO, Richard Yu, revealed sales statistics of its latest flagship devices. Yu says that the company has managed to sell over 7 million Mate 30 devices in two months.
