One of the latest smartphones from HMD Global, the Nokia 1 Plus, has just had its price slashed. The phone was first introduced to the local market in April and was available for Ksh 9,300. The security researcher spotted this and was not sure why the Netflix app needs access to his physical activity data. Some users are reporting seeing the feature on their devices by default without their input. Netflix has confirmed to TheNextWeb that is tracking the movement of users by…

For years, most people who bought mid-range or flagship smartphones were the ones to enjoy the latest Android updates. Companies have never been open about it but this is what has been happening. Most people who bought entry level or some of the low-end smartphones were used to not getting the latest Android updates. For the Nairobi to Nakuru Little shuttle service, there are 6 buses per day with the first one departing at 6 am. The subsequent busses will then depart every couple of hours at 8am, 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and the last one at…

Not everyone sees the usefulness of having a tablet in 2019. We do have powerful smartphones with bigger screens that can do what most tablets do. With this in mind, most people tend to go with smartphones with bigger displays and use them for different situations and they don’t see the need of getting a dedicated tablet to use it once in a while. There is nothing wrong with that approach but there are people who need a separate device (tablet) to handle specific tasks that may not be handled that well with a smartphone. Think of someone who does…
