For a long time now, we have known that Sony was working on its next flagship Smartphone, the Xperia z4. Previously, we had reported that Sony was looking at May to unveil this Smartphone but it looks like it has pushed that a little bit forward to today. Before today, we had seen very few leaks suggesting the specs and features we should expect from the Xperia Z4.

Sony decided to unveil the Xperia z4 in a low key kind of way in Japan. Even with the low key launch, we still got wind of it and could not let that pass. Keep in mind that the Xperia Z4 has just been announced in Japan and there is no word as to when other markets will get it.
Given that the Smartphone has the ‘Xperia Z4’ name, it will most likely be heading to other markets soon and not just Japan. Sony has confirmed that the Smartphone will be available for purchase in Japan as from this summer (from 21 June) with another flagship probably with the same specs (and name) hitting other markets thereafter.

Some of the specs the Xperia Z4 has include a 5.2-inch with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. This is the same size and resolution as the Xperia Z3 that was unveiled in October last year. The Xperia Z4 has a polished aluminum frame and 6.9mm thick glass body.
The main camera of the Xperia Z4 is a 20.7MP one with a 5.1MP front facing camera. This is quite impressive if you ask me as Sony is known for its premium cameras and the Z4 is not different. The front facing camera has a wide angle focal length so you can fit many people in your selfie (or “Selphy” according to Sony). This camera also has digital image stabilization.
The Xperia Z4 is IP68 certified meaning that it has a water and dustproof design. Inside the frame, the phone is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor that reaches speeds of 2.0GHz. This is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The memory can be expanded using a MicroSD card.
Powering this Smartphone is a 2930mAh battery that is not that bad. The Xperia Z4 will be available in four color options that are white, black, copper and aqua green.
