We already know Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 10 series on August 7, less than a month from today. With the launch date just around the corner, we are getting leaks of what to expect when the phone is launched. The latest leak was shared on Twitter and shows the punch-hole at the middle top part of the display. This is not the first time Samsung is using a punch hole notch so the concept is not strange to them. You will definitely not miss the punch hole and to be honest I prefer having it at the…

If you have a smartphone with a very big display, then you know it is not easy to access all part of the display at all times. One area you may struggle to access is the notification panel, you have to tilt the phone a bit just to reach the top of the phone to pull down the notifications to see the ones that demand your attention. Dark Mode seems to be the trend these days and this has been championed by non-other than Google. The company has updated most of its apps to have a dark mode option for those who prefer to have that activated on the applications they are using. When we talk about Qualcomm, most of the times the company has announced a new mid-range of high-end processor. These are the most exciting ones to be honest but that does not mean that the company does not focus on the budget segment. This should make things interesting in the entry level segment, a category that has not seen some excitement of late.…

Over the last couple of years, we have seen a change on how manufacturers support their older devices. Companies are now supporting more devices with the latest updates unlike a few years ago when updates were mostly rolled out to their high-end devices. With mid and lower end devices, getting the latest Android update was a hit and miss game. You could either get it or not with no clear explanation at all. Samsung and Huawei were some of the top manufacturers notorious for this. They would just not support some of their device even the most recent ones that…

With the trade war between China and the US heating up, Huawei has been caught in the crossfire. The US government blacklisted Huawei and this meant that no American company was to do business with the Chinese company without approval by the government. Google is one such company and the search giant was forced to suspend ties with Huawei and this meant the future of Huawei smartphones was unknown. Google owns Android and we were just not sure what was going to happen after the ban. Huawei has been working on an Android alternative before this ban but we had…

Last Week, Huawei unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019, in Kenya. This should not be confused with the Huawei Y9 2019 from last year.
