New TikTok Feature Available to Help Creators Easily Engage with Fans

TikTok

Popular short video sharing platform TikTok is rolling out a new feature to creators (users with Creator Accounts) to help them easily engage with their fans. The new Q&A feature, rolling out to all creators, will be available on both pre-recorded and live videos.

The new feature makes it easy for creators and their fans to engage quickly in two ways. One, for creators to promptly identify questions from other comments in the comment section.

Secondly, give fans a chance to label their comments as questions so a creator can quickly identify them and respond in a video’s comment section.

Besides, creators can reply to their fans’ questions in two ways – directly through text in the comment section or via a video reply. Video replies to Q&A questions will have a link back to the original question.

As a result of the new feature, TikTok will add a new Q&A profile link to creators’ Profile bios which will include an aggregate of all questions and answers. Under the new Q&A profile link, users will browse earlier questions and answers and even submit further questions.

Creators will have to turn on the new feature by themselves, according to the company. To turn on Q&A, head over to your Settings and Privacy page, tap Creator, select Q&A, and hit the “Turn on Q&A” button.

If you’re not signed in as a creator, go to the Settings section of the app, select “Manage account,” and select “Switch to Creator Account.”

Creators and users should first download the latest version of the app on Android and iOS to use the new feature.
