Yesterday Amazon announced updates to some devices under its growing portfolio of hardware devices. One of them was the new upgraded Fire TV Stick streaming device. The latest version costs the same as its predecessor: $39.99. Additionally,  there’s also a new cheaply priced Fire TV Stick Lite that costs $29.99.

So what’s new in the updated Fire TV Stick?

It now has 50 percent more processor power courtesy of a new chip. The Fire TV Stick now includes Dolby Atmos support. Amazon says both the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite have the same processing power, and the only difference is on the accompanying remote.

The Fire TV Stick’s remote includes dedicated buttons for volume control, power, and a mute button. Both sticks are capable of full-HD streaming with HDR support.

The duo will be available starting September 30.

Amazon also unveiled an overhauled UI for the Fire TV experience. Among the most significant changes include support for up to six user profiles. Amazon introduced user profiles on Amazon Prime Video in July.

The company sees a future of Fire TV as a communication device, too, and it’s now added a new Video Calling feature.

Away from the Fire TV experience and streaming stick, Amazon also announced three new Echo devices; an upgraded Echo with overhauled design($99), a smaller Echo Dot($49.99), and an Echo Dot with Clock ($59.99).

Additionally, there’s a new set of Ring devices. Amazon also updated Eero Wi-Fi routers with Eero 6 and Eero Pro 6. The Echo Show 10 smart display was also unveiled, now with Netflix support.

But it doesn’t stop there. Amazon announced a new cloud gaming service called Luna, adding competition to the growing portfolio of cloud streaming services.
