Microsoft’s OneDrive Raises File Upload Limit to 100GB

Onedrive for web

Microsoft is making some changes to OneDrive and the key one is the raising of the upload file size limit from the current one of 15GB to 100GB. This limit has been raised for Microsoft OneDrive and SharePoint users.

These changes were announced last week and are much appreciated by business users who may have seen the 15GB file limits as being too restrictive. This is the case with those businesses who deal with very large files and may not have found OneDrive to be easy to use.

Besides the increase in file upload limits, it has also been revealed that dark mode will soon be available on OneDrive for web. It is about time OneDrive for web gets the update as one of the handful of changes coming to the service.

Dark mode is already available on the Android and iOS versions of OneDrive so the web version was to get it at some point. It is not clear when dark mode will be available but the software giant said that should be “soon”.

Microsoft Teams Integration

Microsoft has also announced that OneDrive for Business users will be getting improved Teams Sharing integration. With this, users will be able to share a file within Teams and have the option of creating a shared link that will allow files and documents to be shared strictly within an organization or to anyone.

There will be an option to copy a link from OneDrive to a browser and share it that way.
