Huawei will be unveiling its 2017 flagship smartphone, the P10, this coming Sunday but this has not stopped seasoned tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) from sharing what looks like the first official press photo of the P10.

The first thing you will notice from this photo is that there is a physical home button below the display. This is new for Huawei as we are used to seeing capacitive keys on its devices. The physical home button is where the fingerprint scanner will be embedded. This is also new for Huawei as we are used to having the scanner on the back panel on the company’s devices.

The render shows the dual camera setup at the back with dual LED flash and the Leica branding. As we have mentioned above, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the front panel on the physical home button. By moving the fingerprint sensor to the front, the back panel has a cleaner and smooth look. This will be a huge change for Huawei and personally I prefer having the fingerprint sensor at the back but I will have to experience having it on the front panel to decide if the change is good or not.

From the renders, we can also see that the edges of the Huawei P10 are slightly curved and this will make it easier and comfortable to carry around just like the P9. The leak did not reveal anything about the specs the phone will come with.

Some of the specs we have heard the Huawei P10 will come with include a 5.5-inch display, slightly bigger than the P9 that had a 5.2-inch display. Powering this beast will be the 2.3 GHz Kirin 960 processor (octa-core) paired with 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of internal storage space. There might also be a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space.

The star of the show when it comes to the Huawei P10 will be the camera. The dual setup at the back will have a 20MP + 12MP sensor combination while the front facing one will be an 8MP one. The battery on this phone will be a 3100mAh one.

This is all we know about the Huawei P10 at the moment, we will know more this coming Sunday.
