A few weeks ago, Infinix launched its beautiful smartphone yet, the Infinix Hot S, in Nigeria. When launching the phone in Nigeria, I was meant to understand that the company was not looking to bring it to Kenya just yet. Infinix wanted to launch its latest phablet, the Note 3, first before bringing the Hot S.

Well, the Infinix Note 3 was launched in the country about two weeks ago and the Hot S is next in line. Benjamin Jiang who is the company’s co-founder has already confirmed that the phone is coming to Kenya and today the company has done the same through its official forums and its Facebook Group.

Below is the image the company shared on the Facebook group.

The caption the company used is “Something exquisite is about to officially launch in Kenya! Can you to guess what it is? #IamSoHOT.” This does not clearly say that it will be launching the Hot S in Kenya but the hashtag (IamSoHOT) used sort of confirms that for us. We have already seen the Infinix Hot 3 which was launched a few months ago and this means that the device to be launched will be under the ‘Hot’ family and cannot be the Hot 4, it definitely has to be the HOT S.

The Hot S is the only device under the Infinix Hot series that we expect to see in the country in the next few weeks. The Hot 4 may be launched towards the end of the year or early 2017.

You will probably remember that when launching the Hot S in Nigeria, Infinix used the tagline “All Eyes on Me.” This is the same one used on the teaser image shared above and confirms that the device the company is talking about is most probably the Hot S.

Some of the specs of the Infinix Hot S are listed below.

    Display: 5.2 inches, 1280 x 720 pixels (424 PPI)

    Processor: 1.3GHz Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 Processor

    RAM: 2GB/3GB

Internal storage: 16GB/32GB, expandable to 128GB using a MicroSD card

Camera: 13MP at the back with dual LED flash, 8MP front facing one.

OS Version: Android 6.0 Marshmallow with XOS on top

Battery: 3,000 mAh with Fast charge

    Extra Feature: Fingerprint scanner

Keep it here to be updated with more information as we get it.
