Samsung Will Invest More On Premium Materials on Its Future Smartphones

samsung

Samsung is one of the world’s most recognized Smartphone manufacturers. The company recently announced the Galaxy S6 that got people talking for a whole lot of reasons. The Galaxy S6 is a true premium device from the design to the materials used. Previous Galaxy devices, except for the recently launched Galaxy A series, never had that premium feel as they were mostly made of plastic.

Samsung hopes to change this as it works on its future devices. The company will focus on using more premium materials and use high-resolution displays. Samsung hopes to make its devices attractive again with this move.

According to Samsung’s JK Shin, “Samsung Electronics aims to consolidate its leadership in the premium market and plans to newly change the Smartphone line-up to strengthen competitiveness.”

It’s About Time Samsung!

Samsung has for a long time been competing with Apple for the top spot in the Smartphone sector. Both companies have been doing great but to be honest, Apple has been winning thanks to their premium designs and materials used during construction. Up until recently, Samsung’s Smartphones were made using plastic which gave them a bad feel. This combined with their not so cheap prices did not make the phones appealing.

I know you may argue that what’s inside the phones is what matters but the truth is both the internals and externals matter. If the externals do not matter, Samsung will not have made this move.

With more premium materials in terms of design and materials, expect Samsung to gain more customers in the future. Specifically it will gain customers from developed countries who are the ones more interested in premium looking and feeling devices.
