Tecno Camon CX and CX Air

The Tecno Camon series is about to get a new device dubbed the Tecno Camon CX. The Camon CX will be unveiled in Kenya on March 23 to take over from the Camon C9 that was unveiled in 2016. The Camon C9 was a great device that we really loved and you can read all about that in our review using the link below.

Now back to the Camon CX, the phone hasn’t been launched officially in Kenya but it is already up for pre-order. If you want to, you can pre-order the phone from a number of Tecno branded shops countrywide. The list of the shops that are accepting pre-orders is here.

Tecno isn’t saying much about the specifications of the phone or its price but we will know this as we get close to the launch date (March 23). The only thing Tecno has shared so far is the image below.

The image does not reveal much but confirms the existence of a 16MP camera at the back and a fingerprint sensor. Renders circulating online point out that the phone has a dual camera setup at the back and as you can see above, this might be the case. We still haven’t confirmed any of this but we will try to get more information as time goes by.

The Camon CX Air

Besides the standard Camon CX, there is also the Camon CX Air that the company has been teasing. Both these will be launched later this month. The company is specifically teasing the selfie camera meaning that the phone might have a superior front facing snapper. The Camon CX Air will probably be the premium variant while the CX will be the standard version.

This is the video the company shared today.

We will keep you updated on this phone as we get more information.
