Airtel Africa has joined the Joint Alliance for CSR (JAC), a global telecommunications industry body whose members promote sustainability principles in their supply chains. This follows the launch of the Airtel Africa’s sustainability strategy in October 2021, which set out detailed plans to transform the lives of millions of people across Africa. The Open Governance Institute (OGI) early this week signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Eldoret (UOE) that seeks to foster collaborations and partnerships in areas of governance, policy and budget research, promotion of capacity development of the parties and its target stakeholders and support offering of technical short courses that strengthen governance systems and processes towards community transformation and prosperity. The PEACE Cable will bring faster and more stable communication services connecting Africa, Europe, and Asia.
