NTT DATA has been certified as a Top Employer in Kenya for 2026 by the Top Employers Institute, recognizing the company’s strong people practices and its commitment to creating a high-performing and inclusive workplace.

The Kenya certification forms part of NTT DATA’s recognition as a Global Top Employer for the third consecutive year, placing the company among just 17 organizations worldwide to receive the Institute’s highest level of certification. In total, NTT DATA earned four regional and 37 country and region Top Employer 2026 certifications across North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa, reflecting the consistency and strength of its people strategy across global and local operations.

The Top Employers Institute certifies organizations through a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey and an independent audit process. The assessment evaluates six HR domains and 20 topics, including People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Wellbeing.

In Kenya, NTT DATA achieved particularly strong results in learning and development, purpose and values, work environment, sustainability, talent acquisition and digital HR. These outcomes reflect the company’s continued investment in employee experience and its focus on building a culture where people feel respected, supported and empowered to grow, while meeting globally benchmarked people standards.

“Being certified as a Top Employer in Kenya for 2026 is a significant milestone for our business.” said Richard Hechle, Managing Director for NTT DATA in East Africa. “It reflects the progress we’ve made in strengthening our culture and employee experience and the commitment of our teams who bring our values to life every day. We are proud to be building a workplace where people can grow, thrive and contribute meaningfully to our clients and communities.”

At a global level, NTT DATA was also recognized for advanced people practices that are not yet widely adopted across many organizations, including Candidate Experience Measurement, Employee Listening Strategies, Voice of the Employee Champions and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. Together, these practices demonstrate the company’s commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces that value every voice and encourage continuous improvement.

“Our employees are our most important asset and key to our competitive edge,” said Yutaka Sasaki, President and CEO, NTT DATA. “With approximately 200,000 employees across more than 70 countries and regions – over 75% of whom are non-Japanese – their dedication, expertise and diverse perspectives enable us to deliver significant value for our clients. Being recognized as a Global Top Employer for the third year in a row reflects the importance, we place on creating a workplace where people feel respected, supported and empowered to perform at their best.”

Adrian Seligman, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, commented: “Achieving Global Top Employer status in 2026 is an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects excellence in individual countries, and crucially, sustained people practices across regions and worldwide. NTT DATA has demonstrated a rare ability to align its people strategy globally while ensuring meaningful, locally relevant experiences for employees in every certified market.”

The Top Employer certification reinforces NTT DATA’s people-first philosophy and its ambition to be the place where people grow. Looking ahead, the company will continue to invest in its people and workplace culture as it drives sustainable growth and delivers long-term value for clients across Kenya and the wider East Africa region.
