GardaWorld Security, a global champion and leader in security services, today announced that KK Security Ltd (“KK Security”) is rebranding to GardaWorld Security – Africa in Kenya. Following GardaWorld Security’s acquisition of KK Security in 2016, this rebranding aligns operations in Kenya with GardaWorld Security’s global brand, which has an extensive footprint spanning Africa, as well as North America, Europe and the Middle East.

The rebrand comes at a pivotal time for Kenya’s security sector, which has a potential guard force of over 800,000 personnel across the country. With more than 2,500 registered private security firms operating nationwide, GardaWorld is positioning itself as a premium provider in a growing industry that serves as a direct source of livelihood for a sizable youth population aged between 18-35 years and their dependents.

“Our brand evolution reflects the breadth of our service offering, as we continue to combine local knowledge with global strength and invest in training and technology to provide comprehensive security solutions,” said Rishi Ahluwalia, Country Director – Kenya, GardaWorld Security – Africa. “The GardaWorld Security brand is considered a quality benchmark for the security industry worldwide, synonymous with excellence, accountability and innovation. This makes it a perfect fit for our business in Kenya, where we uphold these same best-in-class standards to create a unified security infrastructure.”

“We have built a best-in-class business by combining KK Security’s decades of national experience with GardaWorld Security’s global expertise, but we still have big ambitions for Kenya which is a market with evolving customer needs and further growth potential. This rebranding is a natural next step, as we continue to innovate and focus on delivering superior integrated services to bring differentiated value to clients in Kenya and across Africa,” said Oliver Westmacott, President and Chief Operating Officer, GardaWorld Security – International.

With a long record of implementing comprehensive security services in Kenya, tailored to specific sectors including aviation and port operations, logistics and supply chains, extractives and agriculture, as well as diplomatic and international NGO community security, GardaWorld Security – Africa is a trusted partner for Kenyan and multinational organizations seeking to protect their people, places and assets against new and existing risks including crime, civil unrest, terrorist threats and climate impacts.

The company’s industry leading innovation includes its newly upgraded National Security Operations Centre (NSOC), with AI-enhanced remote offsite monitoring capabilities, real-time tracking and overwatch of assets and operations, as well as 24/7 information flows from an extensive network of mobile response vehicles, leveraging ground-level intelligence for dynamic decision-making.

GardaWorld Security – Africa maintains a strong local presence, employing over 8,000 highly trained security professionals, making it one of the largest and most reputable private security employers in the country. An expanded state-of-the-art NSOC and training facility in Nairobi ensures local talent remains central to operations, covering critical regions including Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, Nairobi and Nakuru.
