OPPO Reno 10 vs. OPPO Reno 11: What Has Changed?

OPPO Reno 10 Vs Reno 11

The OPPO Reno 11 was recently unveiled in Kenya as the successor to the Reno 10. I reviewed the Reno 10 last year and loved it and I am still using the phone till now. Today, I will be comparing the OPPO Reno 10 and the recently unveiled OPPO Reno 11. The recommended retail price is Ksh 67,999 for the Reno11 5G and Ksh 85,999 for the Reno11 Pro 5G. You can get both phones through OPPO branded shops and through online retailers.

Design and Build

The OPPO Reno 11 was launched in Kenya this year. It has a sleek profile, is 7.9 mm thick and weighs in at 182g. It’s available in striking Wave Green and Rock Grey colors. The device has a stunning 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, providing an immersive visual experience.

The OPPO Reno 10 was launched in Kenya late last year. It shares a similar design philosophy. Slightly heftier at 185g and a thickness of 8mm, it comes in Silvery Grey and Ice Blue variants. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display, also with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+, ensures vibrant visuals.

While the dimensions differ marginally, both phones offer an expansive AMOLED display, making it a matter of personal preference.

Performance

The OPPO Reno 11 is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. It comes with impressive RAM options of 8GB and 12GB, coupled with storage variants of 128GB and 256GB.

The Reno 10 shares the same Mediatek Dimensity 7050 chipset, CPU, and GPU. However, it offers a slightly more modest RAM option of 8GB, with similar storage choices of 128GB and 256GB.

Performance-wise, both phones are on par, but the Reno 11 provides an extra RAM variant for users seeking enhanced multitasking capabilities.

Camera

The OPPO Reno 11 has a 50MP wide main sensor, a 32MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. The selfie game is strong with a 32MP front camera.

The Reno 10 on the other hand boasts a 64MP wide main camera, a 32MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The front camera remains consistent at 32MP.

While the Reno 10 flaunts a higher resolution in its main camera, the Reno 11 compensates with advanced features and potentially superior image processing.

Battery and Charging

Both devices share a non-removable 5000mAh battery. The Reno 11 features 67W wired charging, promising a full charge in just 45 minutes, according to official claims. Similarly, the Reno 10 supports 67W wired charging with PD3.

The battery and charging capabilities remain consistent across both devices, ensuring a reliable and fast-charging experience.

Extra Features

The OPPO Reno 11 runs on Android 14 with ColorOS 14. It includes 5G support, NFC, and an Infrared port for added connectivity. The Reno 10 was released with Android 13 and ColorOS 13.1, the Reno 10 offers 5G support, NFC, and an Infrared port as well.

The Reno 11 takes a slight lead with the latest Android version and ColorOS iteration.

Verdict

Whether you prioritize the latest software updates, cutting-edge camera capabilities, or a sleek design, both phones deliver a good user experience. It ultimately boils down to personal preferences and priorities. So, which one suits your style and needs better? The choice is yours.
