The African SAP User Group (AFSUG) Board has announced the appointment of Louise Steenekamp as its Vice-Chair, effective 15th February 2024. With a rich background in the SAP ecosystem spanning over two decades, Steenekamp’s appointment brings a wealth of expertise and strategic leadership to the forefront of AFSUG. This significant development marks a pivotal moment for AFSUG as it sets the stage for growth and transformation in the SAP community across Africa.

Having served on the AFSUG Board since January 2020, Louise Steenekamp is a seasoned professional with a diverse skill set in various aspects of SAP, including implementation, support, service management, sales, and customer perspectives. Her profound understanding of the SAP landscape, coupled with strategic leadership and a relentless drive for innovation, positions her as a valuable asset to AFSUG.

Steenekamp holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Management, emphasizing her commitment to excellence and continuous learning in both technology and business management. Currently, she plays a pivotal role in Aspen’s Global Digital Technology Enablement function, showcasing her ability to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and deliver tangible results in complex organizational environments.

Duke Mathebula, Chairman of AFSUG, expressed his enthusiasm about Louise’s appointment, considering it a significant milestone for the organization. He stated, “This is a significant milestone for AFSUG as we embark on the next phase of growth and transformation.” Mathebula highlighted that in her new role, Louise will form a crucial part of the Board’s core leadership team and will represent AFSUG at the global stage as an executive member of the SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN).
