The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is one of the latest foldable smartphones to launch in Kenya. The phone launched together with thye Galaxy Z Fold 5 and is available in Kenya starting from Ksh 175,000. The Fold 5 on the other hand is available in Kenya for Ksh 290,000. Both the prices are lower than the recommended retail prices Samsung has priced the two at Ksh 193,000 and 325,000 for the Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 respectively.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the successor to the Flip 4 that I reviewed last year. I did like the Flip 4 even though its battery was not necessarily the best. The battery has not been improved with the Flip 5. Samsung has not improved most of the other key specifications and this means that if you already have the Flip 4, you may want to skip the Flip 5.
Even with all that said, this is a good phone if you can afford it. It does come with some upgrades including a bigger pouter display and more efficient processor.
