Shop Zetu, a purely online fashion marketplace, was founded with a clear mission to address the challenges faced by local brands in accessing online markets. Marvin Kiragu, the CEO and co-founder of Shop Zetu, highlights their commitment to solving these challenges and providing a platform that connects buyers of fashion online to the wide range of local fashion brands available.

The marketplace opened its doors at the peak of the pandemic and in April this year launched its Mini app on the M-Pesa app.

The Shop Zetu-Safaricom Partnership:

Recognizing the value of strategic partnerships, Shop Zetu joined forces with Safaricom to create a game-changing collaboration. Leveraging Safaricom’s popular M-PESA app, Shop Zetu introduced the Shop Zetu mini app, which offers customers a seamless shopping experience within the M-PESA ecosystem. This integration allows customers to access Shop Zetu’s extensive range of fashion brands, place orders, and make secure payments without leaving the app.

M-Pesa mini apps are applications that run inside the M-pesa app. They allow MP-esa app users  to access a number of services and features from third parties without having to install any additional apps or even leaving the M-Pesa app. There are a number of services that can be accessed via M-Pesa mini apps including ordering a cab through Little, booking a short or long term stay using Makao, access NHIF services just to name a few.
