Samsung’s first Unpacked event of 2023 is fast approaching, and all signs point to the release of the Galaxy S23 series, along with a series of new laptops. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23, and S23+ are expected to be the headliners of the event, while the Galaxy Book3 series of laptops is also expected to make an appearance.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to carry on the design of its predecessor, but with a few updates and new color options, including the Cotton Flower and Botanic Green. It will also retain the built-in S Pen, a 6.8-inch display, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, and a four-camera setup on the back. The biggest change is expected to be the new chipset, which is a higher-clocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy.

The main camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be a new 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor, which will provide different output resolutions and enable 8K video capture. The other two cameras will retain their 3x and 10x specifications, but with some incremental improvements to image quality. There are also rumors of a new selfie camera, though not much is known about it yet.

The Galaxy S23 and S23+ will be even more incremental in their changes, with 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch displays, respectively, and a 200mAh boost to their battery capacities. They will also have access to the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset and come in a new Mystic Lilac color option.

The Galaxy Book3 series of laptops is also expected to make an appearance at the Unpacked 2023 event. All models will have 2880x1800px Super AMOLED touchscreen displays, backlit keyboards, Intel’s 13th-gen processors, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. There will be a choice between the Core i5-1340P and Core i7-1360P, with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSDs. All models will boot Windows 11 with Samsung’s Galaxy ecosystem additions.

The Unpacked 2023 event is expected to be a major event for Samsung, with the release of the Galaxy S23 series and the Galaxy Book3 series of laptops. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is expected to be the headliner, with updates to the chipset, main camera, and battery capacity, among other things. The Galaxy Book3 series of laptops is expected to have a series of updates, including Super AMOLED touchscreen displays, backlit keyboards, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.
