Samsung Teases Another Upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Event on April 28

Samsung has confirmed another Galaxy Unpacked event planned for April 28. The South Korean tech company, in a video, teased launching “the most powerful Galaxy” on the said date. The event will be showcased live on YouTube starting 5:00 PM EAT.

If you know anything about Samsung, you certainly are aware of how the company loves to produce flashy videos for its upcoming products. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will be the company’s third this year, after the launch of the Galaxy S21 series in January and the A72 and A52 last month.

Provided this, it’s unlikely that we should see the company announce yet another smartphone. Even new iterations of the company’s folding phones – the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 2 – have been rumored to launch in July, which would be earlier than usual.

A Galaxy Note smartphone is certainly out of the picture since Samsung’s DJ Koh more or less confirmed that it wouldn’t be launching the new devices in the series this year.

“It could be a burden to unveil two flagship models in a year, so it might be difficult to release [a] Note model in 2H,” Koh said during the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting.

So what could be the coming Galaxy device? Rumor points to a refresh of Samsung’s Galaxy Book laptop line. The last devices were launched in 2019, running Intel’s old 10th-gen chips. Given that, it might be prime time for a refresh. But let’s wait and see.
