The second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year will be hosted on August 5, where Samsung will introduce its new Galaxy Note flagship series. The South Korean tech giant hasn’t tipped on anything substantial about the upcoming devices, other than the ongoing rumors about what’s coming and what’s not.

But recently, the company’s President and Head of Mobile Communications Business, TM Roh, has confirmed that the company is prepping to launch five new “power” devices.

“These devices deliver on our vision to be the innovator of new mobile experiences that flow seamlessly and continuously wherever we go,” he said.

“They combine power with seamless functionality, whether you’re at work or play, at home or away. In the Next Normal, you will be empowered to live life to the fullest with these devices in your hand (and in your ears, and on your wrist.).”

He also talked about the rollout of more 5G enabled devices in more markets. The company is still going all-in on foldable devices, as Roh noted in a blog post. “From foldables to 5G, we have a tremendous amount in the pipeline, with some ready to be shown just around the corner.”

We should get hold of more details at the upcoming launch which will be held on August 5. The event will kick off at 5 pm (local East African Time) and will be broadcasted live from Samsung’s native land, South Korea.
