The Huawei Y8p is one of the two latest smartphones that Huawei has launched in Kenya. The other one is the Huawei Y6p that is also available locally but at a cheaper price.

The Huawei Y8p is available in stores for Ksh 24,999 while the Y6p is available for Ksh 14,999. At Ksh 24,999, the Y8p is in the same price segment as the Y9 series which has done well in Kenya. These are Y series devices made for the youth who may want the latest and best features on a phone without to spend a ton of cash on a single device.

The Huawei Y8p comes with some good specifications including an OLED display, Kirin 710F processor, 4/6GB of RAM just to name a few. This looks like a very promising device but the fact that it does not have Google Play Services raises some eyebrows. The phone is still usable but there are those who may be scared of that but Huawei has alternatives that can ensure the experience is still smooth.

Below is a look at the Huawei Y8p.
