Android 10 Update Available for Xiaomi Mi A3 and Redmi Note 8 Pro

Android 10

After months of waiting, Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 10 update for their newest Android One smartphone, the Mi A3, and the Redmi Note 8 Pro. As you would expect Xiaomi to give priority to the Mi A3, that wasn’t the case. The company seems much vested in boarding more people to their MIUI alternative instead.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 10 update was expected to roll out mid-February, but that it was interfered by the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, according to the company.

The update weighs 1.3GB and, as usual, brings the many exciting features available in Android 10 including the gesture-based navigation system, revamped security-focused features, smart replies and system-wide dark mode. On top of that is increased system stability and reduction of system lag.

One important thing to note is the possibility of the fingerprint sensor not working, a problem that has occurred to several people who have updated their Mi A3 phones to Android 10.
But don’t worry, in case you experience a similar problem, a simple factory reset after the update will do the trick.

For the Redmi Note 8 Pro, the update is nearly 2GB. The update comes along with Google’s February 2020 security patch. There is also improved system security which was among the top features in Android 10. For the Indian market, Redmi Note 8 Pro has a localized payment security icon.
