    The Infinix S5 is the latest smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer that has already been launched in other markets including Nigeria and now Kenya.

    The Infinix S5 is the company’s first smartphone with a punch hole display. All this means is that you get a full screen experience but the front facing camera is housed in a punch hole like cutout and you are not getting the traditional or the waterdrop notch. Infinix is calling this an Infinity-O display.

    The Infinix S5 will be available in 4 variants the S5 128+6/64+4 and S5 lite 32+3/ 64+4, the main difference being S5 has quad rear cameras while S5 lite has triple rear cameras. The one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage space available on Xpark at the moment for Ksh 16,499. Some of the other variants include;

    • Infinix S5 (128GB storage and 6GB RAM) available in select Infinix Shops for Ksh 20,999.
    • Infinix S5 Lite (32GB +3GB RAM and 64 GB+4 GB RAM) will be available exclusively on Jumia for ksh 13,499 and 13,899 respectively from December 15.

    S Line is for the Youth

    The Infinix S line is for the younger generation and the company has always ensured they do come with its best cameras. We are getting a 32MP selfie camera on the Infinix S5 and this promises a lot and I will definitely have to test it out once I get a review unit.

    “The Infinix S5 has four exclusive options, Slim face, Enlarge eyes, Color tone adjustment and Smooth skin, with 100 precision adjustments, providing stunning image customizations to make your own beauty style,” the company said in a statement.

    Besides the selfie camera, the Infinix S5 has a quad camera setup at the back made up of 13MP+5MP+2MP+QVGA units that sound promising and I would love to test them in my review.

    Some of the other specifications of these phones are highlighted below.
