Vivo NEX 3 with a “Waterfall display” Set to be Launched Soon

Vivo Nex 3 Unboxing

Since Oppo’s announcement of the “waterfall-screen” went public, we expected to see the same screen design in its sister companies OnePlus and Vivo. But Vivo has been the first one to implement this.

The Vivo NEX3 is soon to be official, and the company has already released a teaser video. The device sports a “waterfall” display that literally rounds around the device. As a result, the Vivo NEX 3 offers the highest never-been seen before screen-to-body ratio of 99.6%.

For the 5G-ready markets, Vivo NEX 3 is 5G ready, and it is one of the few things the company has been vocal about in its promotions of the upcoming phone.

With the massive aspect ratio, Vivo NEX 3 has no physical buttons. Instead, the phone leverages on haptic feedback, which works pretty well based on a recently hands-on video on YouTube. The device has a “slight grippy area” on the right that acts as a virtual button with the volume up and down right above and below it respectively. Additionally, there is also a secondary power button at the top – if that is not enough.

The device is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 Plus. In addition, it is expected to pack a 4000mAh battery as its main powerhouse and may feature Vivo’s 120W “Super FlashCharge charger that was teased by the company back in June on Twitter.

In matters photography, the device features a triple camera setup on the back with a 64MP primary camera and sports a pop-up selfie camera.  For headphone jack lovers, Vivo still maintains a headphone jack in its upcoming flagship phone.

Apart from these highlighted features, other details about the device are yet to be known, but soon we will have a grasp of it all. Vivo is expected to launch Vivo NEX 3 in early September.
