A few weeks back, I did a post highlighting the top 5 smartphones you can get for less than Ksh 10,000. The list comprised of my favorite device in that category and today I will 5 more smartphones that you can get if you have a little bit more, between Ksh 10,000 and 20,000 to be specific.

Within this price range, you can get very good phones that you will comfortably use for the next two years or more. At the same time, you can get very bad phones that you will not want to use for the next three months.

    The Infinix Note 5

The Infinix Note 5 is the best Note device we have seen from the company so far. I reviewed the phone back in August and loved it and I am still sticking to what I said about it. It is a phone that just works and that is not what can be said about every other smartphone within this price range. The Infinix Note 5 also has a killer camera that will definitely not disappoint you. This is a camera that works without a ton of gimmicks or settings.

The Infinix Note 5 is available on Jumia from Ksh 17,900 but I would suggest you get it from Infinix’s own e-commerce platform, InfinixMall as you will get it for Ksh 16,299 from there. With the Infinix Note 5, you will love its battery, cameras, performance and software just to name a few.

Below are some of the key specifications of the Infinix Note 5.

    The Xiaomi Redmi 6

If you are looking for value for your money, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 is worth checking out. The phone is available on Jumia from as low as Ksh 12,500 for the 3GB variant, a pretty good deal if you consider what it has to offer. At this price, it throws most of its competitors out of the water and definitely stands out.

    Huawei Y7 Prime 2018

Within this price range, you can also get the Huawei Y7 Prime 2018 that I love. This is one of the handful Y series devices from Huawei that we saw in the country last year. The one disappointing thing about the Y7 Prime 2018 is the display, it is not as bright as the displays I have used on other smartphones as it has this brownish tint that I am not a fan of.

    The Nokia 6.1

The Nokia 6.1, launched in 2018, is the successor to the Nokia 6 from 2017. I was not a big fan of the Nokia 6 but the 6.1 surprised me as it improved on a few things that the Nokia 6 was not good at. The 6.1 has a particularly different design and build compared to other smartphones within this price range and offers great performance for its price. The only disappointment I have about this phone is in the camera department, the cameras are just not that good compared to other devices on this list. If you can overlook that, this is a good buy for less than Ksh 20,000.
