Infinix Note 4 Specifications Surface Online Before its Official Unveiling

Infinix Note 4

A couple of days ago, we told you that Infinix is working on its next phablet, the Note 4, that it will be unveiling very soon. Back then, we had no information about the specifications of this phone and all we knew was that it will have a massive battery.

Well, we now have the Infinix Note 4 specifications thanks to Jumia. The online retailer has a dedicated listing for the Note 4 that it says will be unveiled soon. The listing reveals all the key specifications of the phone but does not say anything about the price. This will be an important aspect for most potential customers who may be looking for a new smartphone. With that said, I do not expect the price of this phone to be above Ksh 15.000, all the phablets from Infinix have been around this price range so I do not expect the Note 4 to be any different.

So, what specs does it have?

Before I even tell you want I think about this phone, let us look at its key specifications. It has a 5.7-inch display, slightly smaller than the Note 3 that has 6 inch display. Infinix has decided to go with a smaller screen size instead of reducing the bezels around the display, the latter would have been perfect in my opinion.

Powering the Infinix Note 4 is an unknown octa core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Nothing has been revealed about the GPU but I expect the same one found on the Note 3, Zero 4 and S2 Pro. This was the Mali T720 GPU in case you were wondering.

As for the camera, the Infinix Note 4 has a 13MP unit at the back and an 8MP front facing one. The 13MP camera at the back is the same one used on the Note 3 and comes with dual LED flash while the 8MP front facing one has been upgraded from 5MP on the Note 3.

Note 4

For the battery, the Infinix Note 4 comes with a 4300 mAh unit which is slightly smaller than the 4500 mAh unit on the Note 3. This battery supports XCharge which gives you two hours of talk time with just 5 minutes of charging.

What’s New?

From what I am seeing from the specifications above, the Infinix Note 4 isn’t very different from the Note 3, that’s not a bad thing depending on who you ask. Even with that said, it still is slightly different. Starting with the design, it looks better than the Note 3, it is slightly curved at the back and this gives it an appealing look. This design borrows a lot from some recent smartphones from Samsung and Xiaomi and you probably noticed this already. It specifically has a design similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi5 and camera placement from the Galaxy Note 5.

Infinix has also decided to place the fingerprint sensor on home button. Yes, the phone comes with a physical home button with the fingerprint sensor embedded underneath, I get that people love this but I find having the fingerprint sensor at the back more natural. Either way, we are getting the fingerprint sensor on the front panel and I guess I have to live with that.

The Infinix Note 4 also comes with Android 7.0 Nougat and this will get all you Android fans excited.

Here is a list of the Infinix Note 4 specifications we have discussed above compared to those of the Note 3.
