In 2016, Google released its new chatting application, Allo. Ever since the chat service was launched, it has been available on mobile only but that might change very soon.

Google has just revealed that Allo chat service will soon be available for desktop users. This was announced by Google vice-president of communications Nick Fox and means that if you use Allo, you will not have to have your phone with you all the time.

Google Allo has been around since May 2016 and is still not considered a mainstream chatting service. Bringing a desktop version might help get more people to sign up and actively use the service in the long run.

Above is what Fox tweeted and includes a screenshot of the desktop version. He said this version is still in early development and he did not reveal when users should expect to see it out in the wild. We will keep an eye on this and inform you if and when we get more information.
