The Huawei P9 Will Launched in Kenya Next Week

Huawei P9 2

Huawei is finally ready to bring its latest flagship smartphone, the P9, in Kenya. The company will be unveiling this smartphone early next week in partnership with Safaricom. The Huawei P9 was unveiled back in April and we expected to have it in the country in May but that never happened. After the long wait, the P9 is finally making its way into the country.

The Huawei P9 is one of the 2016 flagship smartphones that really got people talking. The phone comes with a 12MP dual camera setup at the back which was developed in partnership with Leica. One camera helps capture color while the other one captures black and white with some varying levels of gray. These cameras work together to ensure the images you capture are well detailed when the lighting is good and they also help reduce noise when in low light conditions.

It is still not clear if Huawei will be launching the P9 trio which includes the standard P9, the P9 Lite and the P9 Plus. The company may launch all these devices or may just decide to bring the standard P9 first before the others follow at a later date. In south Africa, the company launched the trio and it may decide to do that too in Kenya. As for price, the company has still not revealed this, we will have to wait till next week.

Huawei P9 Specifications

As for specs, the Huawei P9 comes with a 5.2 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by the Kirin 955 chipset with 2.5GHz for the quad-Cortex-A72 and 1.8GHz for the quad-Cortex-A53. These are paired with either 3/4GB of RAM with either 32/64GB of internal storage space.

For the camera, it has the 12MP dual setup at the back with an 8MP front facing one. Providing all the power is a 3,000 mAh battery.
