We have been talking about Samsung’s new mid-range lineup, the Galaxy C Series, for a while now and it looks like Samsung is finally ready to introduce this lineup to the world. Word coming out of China indicates that Samsung will be introducing it at an event it has later this month. The event will be taking place in China and it seems like the company will be launching this new series over there for now. It is still not clear if it will be available in international markets.

The first two devices in this new series include the Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7. Samsung has already sent out invites to an event it will be having next Thursday (May 26) and this is where we expect to see the devices.

The Galaxy C5 will be the cheapest of the two with a $245 (approximately Ksh 25,000) price tag. It will come with a 5.2 inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It will be powered by a 1.5 GHZ Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 4GB of RAM with either 32GB/64 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded using a MicroSD card.

At the back is a 16MP camera with LED flash with an 8MP front facing camera. Still at the back is 2600mAh battery and all you Android enthusiasts will be happy that it comes with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 on the other hand will be available for $276 (approximately 28,000). It has a slightly bigger 5.5 inch display with a 1080p resolution. Powering it is the same 1.5 GHZ Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It will have 32/64GB of storage space that can be expanded using a MicroSD card.

The Galaxy C7 will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box and will have a 3000 mAh battery providing all the power. As for the camera, the C7 has a 16MP unit at the back and an 8MP one in front.
