Tecno Boom J8 Specifications
[table id=34 /]
Design and Display
The design of the Tecno Boom J8 looks sleek and stylish borrowing a few bits and pieces from the iPhone. The display is a 5.5 inch IPS capacitive one with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This translates to a pixel density of 267 ppi. The display looks good but I just think that Tecno should have included a Full HD display given the price of this phone is over Ksh 15,000.
RAM and Memory
The Tecno Boom J8 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The 2GB of RAM can handle most tasks with much ease.
CPU and OS
The Boom J8 is powered with the 1.3 GHz octa-core Cortex A-53 MediaTek MT6753 processor. This processor compares to the Snapdragon 615 processor from Qualcomm. The processor was first unveiled in late 2014 so it is not the latest hardware by any standards but still performs exceptionally well. As for GPU, it has the Mali-T720 MP4.
For the OS, the Boom J8 comes with HiOS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This is the first Tecno smartphone to come with the company’s own custom UI, HiOS.
The Tecno Boom J8 has a 13MP at the back with Auto Focus and LED flash. At the front it has a 5Mp camera.
There is a 3,000 mAh battery at the back of the Boom J8 and am sure this can get you through the most part of your day without any problems.
