When it comes to updating its devices to the latest Android OS, Sony is not usually the first. The company normally takes time before releasing firmware refreshments. This has been the case for Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Sony did not offer updates in time even after its main rivals, LG, Samsung and HTC, had their updates rolling out.
If you have the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, the wait is over for you as the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop updates will be rolling out very soon. Sony has even confirmed that the update is already rolling out in select markets. These include Northern Europe so if you live in Kenya, you may have to wait a little longer, 3-4 weeks if you ask me. The waiting period for you can be longer or shorter.
With this new update, Sony will be bringing a new materialistic interface of the Xperia UI to the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact.
