Even before the new Smartphone is unveiled, HTC has confirmed that it will be updating its current flagship, the HTC One (M8) and its predecessor the HTC One (M7) to have Android 5.0 Lollipop. The company has confirmed that both these devices will get the update in the next 90 days. The latest users can expect to get the updates is February 2015.

It is believed that Android 5.0 Lollipop for the M8 will be coming with the current Sense 6 UI and not the rumoured Sense 7 UI. This is because HTC has not started porting Sense 7 to the handset.

HTC has not said anything about updating its other Smartphone with Lollipop but has hinted that it will announce that soon. It will most probably update most if not all of its Smartphones released this year. Keep it here for more of this and other stories.
