Samsung Z Caught In the Wild, This Time in Gold

Samsung announced its first Tizen powered Smartphones, the Samsung Z, early last month and said it will be available in Russia as from this month before hitting other markets. Up until this point, the Samsung Z has not been seen anywhere and even the July 10 date Samsung had set for it to go on sale passed without any news.

Samsung came around saying that it had delayed the Smartphone because Tizen doesn’t provide a full portfolio of applications. Without the full portfolio of applications the platform may not attract that many users.

Samsung hopes to solve the apps issue rapidly and for the Samsung Z to hit the market before the end of this quarter.

Even as Samsung announced the Tizen powered Smartphone last month, we did not get to see the device in flesh until now. The photo that we currently have is for the golden version and was taken at the Tizen Developer Summit in Russia. I can say the phone looks good even better than the press images Samsung released last month.

Samsung has still not confirmed the price of the phone.
