The latest flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S4, was officially unveiled in Africa yesterday in an event that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The galaxy S4 is one of the best smartphones of 2013 and many analysts predict that it will sell more units compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S III. With such anticipation, two of the biggest mobile service providers in Kenya, Safaricom and Airtel, are offering you a chance to be the first in the country to own this smartphone beauty.

Looking closely at their deals, Safaricom offers you a chance to preorder the device which you will be able to pick up on 10^th may from their shop at the Westgate. The Galaxy S4 from Safaricom costs Kshs. 57 999 and to be able to preorder from Safaricom, you will need to deposit Kshs. 15 000 first while the rest of the money can be paid when the device is available.

According to Safaricom, when you preorder at this price (Kshs. 57 999), you will save Kshs. 7 000. This deal also comes with 4.5 GB of data that is spread over a period of 3 months (1.5 GB per month).

On the other side, Airtel claims to have the device in stores and that it costs Kshs. 56 999. Airtel has sweetened the deal by offering a Kshs. 4 000 cash back guarantee within 24 hours if you pay with Airtel Money (meaning that it will cost you Kshs. 52 999 if you pay with Airtel money).

The Galaxy S4 from Airtel comes bundled with 21 GB of free data.

Unlike Safaricom’s preordered Galaxy S4 that can only be collected from their Westgate shop, Airtel’s Galaxy S4 can be collected from their shops at Westgate, Sarit centre, Koinange Street, Parkside towers, Khamisi House (Mombasa), Talktime Promotions,Tivoli Centre (Kisumu), Ninis Ltd, Lams Building (Nakuru), Rumarco, in Bargetuny Plaza (Eldoret).
