TikTok removed 884,591 videos in Kenya during the first quarter of 2026 for breaching its Community Guidelines. That’s what the platform said in its most recent Community Guidelines Enforcement Report.
The report shows that 99.7% of the videos were removed proactively before being reported by users, while 96.3% were taken down within 24 hours of being posted.
As part of its efforts to protect younger users, TikTok also removed 48,739 accounts in Kenya that were suspected of belonging to users under the age of 13, which is against the platform’s policies.
In Kenya, the platform interrupted 103,847 LIVE sessions for violating its guidelines. Globally, TikTok issued warnings, demonetised content or took other enforcement actions on more than 58.2 million LIVE sessions and nearly 22 million creators for breaching LIVE monetisation policies.
On AI-generated content, TikTok said it removed 14,261 videos worldwide under its policy covering edited media and AI-generated content.
Globally, TikTok removed over 184 million videos during the quarter, representing around 0.5% of all uploaded content. Of these, 99.3% were detected and removed proactively, with 94.4% taken down within 24 hours.
TikTok says it continues to combine AI-powered moderation with human review to enforce its Community Guidelines and curb harmful content, including misinformation, hate speech and other policy violations.
