Co-operative Bank has partnered with World Vision Kenya to integrate a secure e-commerce donation platform into the Inuka Angaza website.
The new Inuka Angaza Online Donation Platform will be powered by Co-op Bank’s Chapa Pay gateway. It will allow individuals, corporates and diaspora supporters to contribute digitally from anywhere. The integration introduces bank-grade security features including 3D Secure authentication and PCI-DSS-compliant processing.
As part of the partnership, Co-operative Bank has committed Ksh 4 million to kick-start the Inuka Angaza Fund, which supports vulnerable children in Salgaa and other regions. Since launch, the Fund has raised KES 39 million toward a Ksh 50 million target for FY23–FY25.
Funds raised have supported:
- 1,795 girls with dignity kits and sanitary towels
- 837 children with access to clean piped water in schools
- 2,100 households with monthly water purification support
- 700 children with learning materials
- 60 vulnerable children with school uniforms
According to Benard Osoro, Head of Institutional Banking at Co-operative Bank, digital payments are now central to how organisations maintain donor trust and operational efficiency.
World Vision Kenya’s National Director Gilbert Kamanga noted that secure online giving has become essential to sustaining development programmes and expanding reach to diaspora and digital-first donors.
