LG Electronics (LG) is reinforcing its commitment to transforming everyday living across Africa and other emerging markets through AI-powered home solutions designed to respond intelligently to local lifestyles.

Guided by its vision of innovation that adapts to real-world contexts, LG continues to develop technologies that learn from usage patterns and practical living conditions. The integration of advanced artificial intelligence into its home appliance ecosystem, allows LG to deliver solutions that enhance convenience and personalization for consumers across diverse markets.

Demonstrating this approach, LG introduced a comprehensive lineup of AI-enabled home solutions tailored for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) at LG InnoFest 2026 MEA, held in Abu Dhabi from February 3–5.

Under the theme “Innovation, Forward Together,” the exhibition highlighted the company’s latest developments across clothing care, kitchen, built-in kitchen and total cleaning solutions, emphasizing user-centric design, regional relevance and intelligent automation built around real-life use scenarios.

“At LG, innovation starts with understanding how people live and what they need in their daily environments,” said Jane Kariuki, Head of Marketing at LG East Africa. “Our focus on AI allows us to create solutions that respond dynamically to local conditions, enabling smarter and more intuitive living experiences.”

AI Core-Tech Powers Next-Generation Clothing Care Solutions

LG is strengthening its residential laundry lineup for the MEA with appliances that combine larger capacities, premium design and proprietary AI Core-Tech. The latest models deliver intelligent washing and drying experiences through features such as AI Wash and AI Dry, which automatically analyze load characteristics and adjust performance for optimal results.

The lineup is led by the award-winning 29-inch LG SIGNATURE WashCombo™, a premium all-in-one washer-dryer with the world’s largest capacity. LG also showcased an expanded LG WashTower™ lineup, introducing a new 25-inch model alongside existing 24-inch and 27-inch versions to support diverse installation environments. LG WashTower products integrate a separate washer and dryer into a single vertical structure to improve usability and space efficiency.

Making its debut at InnoFest, the new 27-inch WashCombo™ is designed for larger households with a 25-kilogram washing capacity and 21-kilogram drying capacity. Equipped with LG’s DUAL Inverter HeatPump™ technology, the model delivers stable, effective drying performance and enhanced energy efficiency. The laundry range also includes a new front-load washer featuring an integrated LCD display and LG’s advanced AI Direct Drive™ (AI DD™) motor, which optimizes washing performance based on load weight and fabric characteristics.

Leveraging its expertise in residential laundry, LG also presented solutions for the commercial laundry sector, including app- and API-based platforms that enable remote monitoring, operational insights and adaptive management.

Kitchen Solutions Designed Around Intelligent User Experiences

Under the concept of “Fit & Max,” LG’s new kitchen appliances combine built-in aesthetics with AI-driven functionality designed to learn from user behavior. In the refrigerator category, the LG InstaView™ French Door model features a Zero Clearance hinge for flexible installation and AI Fresh technology that adjusts cooling performance based on usage patterns and storage habits. A new bottom freezer model incorporates the same design philosophy with a seamless, modern appearance.

One of the highlights of the cooking appliance showcase, the flagship SolarDOM™ All-in-One Microwave Oven has received its first full redesign in more than a decade. The new model introduces a semi-built-in design with a 2.4-inch LCD interface replacing physical buttons. Cooking convenience is enhanced through up to 60 Auto Cook menus and new features such as Air Fry, while Wi-Fi connectivity enables remote monitoring and control via the LG ThinQ app.

The latest dishwasher lineup features QuadWash® Pro technology, which uses micro-scale air bubble jets to enhance cleaning performance and shorten wash cycles. AI SenseClean technology automatically adjusts wash times and rinse cycles according to contamination levels, ensuring optimized cleaning performance.

Built-In Kitchen Collection Optimized for Regional Needs

Tailored to local preferences and kitchen environments, LG’s built-in collection combines minimalist design with advanced functionality. The Wide Combi built-in refrigerator expands to a width of 690 millimeters, increasing internal capacity to 385 liters. The Inverter ProBake™ built-in oven delivers faster and more even cooking through a BLDC motor-driven bidirectional fan that ensures consistent heat distribution.

Total Cleaning Solutions with Adaptive AI

The exhibition also highlighted LG’s total cleaning solutions incorporating advanced AI features designed to respond to different household environments. Highlights include the LG Wet & Dry stick vacuum with an automatic water supply system and a new robot vacuum equipped with 100-degree Celsius steam mopping and a table-type station designed for space-efficient placement.
