Sun King has officially launched the HomePlus Max. This is its most advanced solar home system yet and it’s designed to do far more than just light up a room.

The new HomePlus Max introduces a level of power and flexibility that pushes solar home systems closer to what grid electricity offers. It can illuminate up to four rooms at near grid-level brightness, charge smartphones and laptops and power DC appliances like a 43-inch HD TV, pedestal fan and radio.

What really sets the HomePlus Max apart is its hybrid charging capability. In addition to a roof-mounted solar panel, the system can also charge from grid electricity, giving households and small businesses a backup option during extended cloudy periods or power outages.

Sun King says the HomePlus Max was designed for today’s connected households. It includes USB-C charging for laptops and modern devices, fast phone charging for multiple users, a motion-detecting security light with up to 7-metre range and intelligent battery management that dims lights and pauses charging when power is low.

That battery management system is key for off-grid and weak-grid homes, ensuring users get maximum uptime from the system without damaging the battery.

The HomePlus Max joins Sun King’s third-generation HomePlus range, alongside the HomePlus and HomePlus Pro and replaces the popular Home 500X. These systems are aimed at:

    • Off-grid households
    • Weak-grid homes
    • Small businesses that need reliable lighting and device charging

All HomePlus systems feature plug-and-play installation, overhead lamps for multi-room setups, individually dimmable lights and USB charging ports across the system.

The HomePlus Max is available through the company’s EasyBuy Pay-As-You-Go financing model. This allows customers to pay in small instalments instead of a large upfront cost.

Since launching 15 years ago, Sun King has sold over 30 million solar products globally.

According to Sun King CEO and co-founder T. Patrick Walsh, the new system represents a major leap forward:

“The HomePlus Max redefines what a solar home system can deliver. It offers bright modern lighting, fast charging for multiple phones, and laptop charging capability, all while powering the Sun King TV or pedestal fan.”
