Huawei has officially unveiled the GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and the new MatePad TXZ range in kenya. The company says the launch delivers a step forward in smarter health tracking, productivity and seamless device integration for local consumers.

With the new GT6 Series and GT6 Pro, Huawei aims to meet rising demand for wellness focused wearables that combine emotional wellbeing features, advanced sports tracking and long battery life. The devices are built using materials such as sapphire glass and titanium alloy.

Kenya is one of the markets where Huawei has seen growing interest in devices that support fitness, mobility, emotional wellbeing and stylish design. According to Jin Renbin, Device Manager at Huawei Kenya, the market continues to evolve as consumers look for smarter and slimmer devices that complement active lifestyles. He pointed out that the new lineup is designed for style conscious users and those who prioritise advanced fitness features.

The GT6 Series and GT6 Pro feature emotional wellbeing tools, improved heart rate algorithms, advanced cycling metrics, sleep tracking enhancements and outdoor sports capabilities. The devices work across Android, iOS, HarmonyOS and Huawei’s wider ecosystem, allowing users to connect with the platform of their choice.

Alongside the wearables, Huawei launched the MatePad TXZ series which focuses on productivity and creative work. The tablets offer a PaperMatte display that mimics a natural, glare free paper-like experience and supports students, creators and professionals who need portable digital tools. Huawei says the devices are lightweight and offer PC level productivity to support work and study on the go.

A central theme of the launch was ecosystem integration. Huawei says users can now switch fluidly between Huawei devices and other platforms. This cross platform support is meant to remove barriers between devices and maintain convenience for users working across phones, laptops, tablets and wearables.

Speaking at the event, Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager for Huawei Devices in Kenya, reaffirmed the company’s long term commitment to the local market. He noted that technology must add value to everyday life and that the new lineup brings together creativity tools, health innovation and premium design to support modern users.

The GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ tablets are already available in Huawei stores and partner outlets across the country. The company will offer promotional bundles and in store demos to help customers experience the new devices.

The Kenyan launch comes as part of a global rollout that started in China with further launches happening in Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines. The GT6 Series will also launch in Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates soon. Kenya is among the first African markets to receive the new wearables.

Huawei says it is committed to delivering flagship level capabilities at price points that work for Kenyan professionals, students and fitness enthusiasts as consumer demand for connected and wellness focused technology continues to rise.
