Jetour Kenya has officially entered the Kenyan market with the launch of four SUVs. These are  the Jetour T2, Dashing, X70 Plus, and T1.

“Jetour is more than a car brandm it’s a commitment to progress,” said Ali Zubedi, Executive Managing Director at Global Motors Centre Limited. “As we begin local assembly, we’re creating jobs, building skills, and strengthening Kenya’s automotive ecosystem. Our mission is to make world-class SUVs accessible to every Kenyan household.”

Among the lineup, the Jetour Dashing stood out with its AI-enhanced driver assistance system and digital cockpit, features designed for tech-savvy urban drivers. The vehicle integrates adaptive sensors and smart connectivity that aim to make navigation and safety more intuitive on Kenyan roads.

The Jetour T2 has a 2.0L turbocharged engine, BorgWarner 4WD and 700mm wading depth. The X70 Plus on the other hand offers seven-seat versatility and advanced connectivity features, while the compact Jetour T1 caters to young, first-time SUV buyers.

Each model embodies Jetour’s “Travel+” philosophy, emphasizing exploration, reliability, and digital innovation for modern mobility.

“Kenya is ready for vehicles that combine elegance, reliability, and innovation,” said Farooq Sheikh, Managing Director of Jetour Kenya. “Jetour brings a modern mobility experience that matches our local landscape and lifestyle, from rugged terrains to urban commutes.”

The announcement aligns with the government’s push for sustainable mobility and industrialisation.

“Jetour’s plan to set up a local assembly operation, aiming to create jobs, enhance skills transfer, and support Kenya’s Vision 2030 industrialisation goals, aligns directly with the government’s efforts to promote sustainable transport and local value addition,” said Prof. Erastus Gatebe, Industrialisation Secretary at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry.

Andy Yuan, Vice President of Jetour International, described Kenya as a strategic hub for the brand’s African ambitions.

“Kenya’s vibrant economy, innovation, and youthful population make it the perfect hub for our long-term growth and for advancing our goals on sustainable mobility,” Yuan said.
