What You Need to Know About Uber Comfort in Kenya

Uber Comfort Kenya

Yesterday, Uber announced the addition of Uber Comfort in Kenya. This is in addition to UberX, Uber ChapChap, UberXL, Uber ChapChap shape, Uber Boda and package options. In Africa, Uber Comfort is available in Ghana, South Africa, Ivory Coast and now kenya.

Commenting on the addition of Uber Comfort in Kenya, Imran Manji, Head of East Africa, Uber said, “Uber aims to reimagine how the world moves for the better. With the launch of Uber Comfort in Nairobi, we are providing our most discerning passengers with a modern, spacious and personalizable method of moving around our city, while also introducing more options for drivers to access economic opportunities.”

Ride Customization Options

One of the biggest additions with Uber Comfort is it adds extra customization options. This means that riders can set specific requirements including vehicle temperature and a conversation preference. With the current heat in Nairobi, you may choose to request a lower ride temperature before pickup.

If you want a quiet ride, you can also select that in your conversation preferences.

New Vehicles

Uber Comfort rides will have some of the newest cars on the platform. These vehicles are also spacious with decent legroom. They are perfect for longer rides or if you are being picked up from the airport and want extra comfort.

Uber Comfort Driver Eligibility

According to the company, Uber Comfort is eligible to drivers who meet the following criteria:

  • Completed at least 100 trips
  • Maintain a minimum rating of 4.85
  • Drive an eligible model vehicle

For riders, requesting for a ride is not that different from requesting for any other Uber ride. Just select your destination and then scroll down the options to pick Uber comfort. You will see the estimated trip amount and how long it will take for the driver to get to you.
