    Summary

    • OPPO unveiled its groundbreaking OPPO Air Glass 3 at MWC 2024.
    • OPPO announced the establishment of the OPPO AI Center.
    • OPPO collaborated with Qualcomm Technologies and AlpsenTek to introduce Hybrid Vision Sensing technology, featuring an AI Motion algorithm.

At Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC), OPPO introduced the world to its latest innovation—the OPPO Air Glass 3. This next-gen augmented reality (AR) device marks a significant leap in Extended Reality (XR).

    The OPPO Air Glass 3

Weighing at 50 grams, the OPPO Air Glass 3 is a lightweight binocular AR glasses prototype. The device features a self-developed resin waveguide with a refractive index of 1.70, ensuring a wearing experience similar to regular glasses. With a peak eye brightness exceeding 1,000 nits and a display brightness uniformity of over 50%, the Air Glass 3 offers the best full-color display in its class. The glasses provide users with an immersive experience, tapping into OPPO’s AndesGPT model via a smartphone app for generative AI capabilities.

Through the Air Glass app, users can activate the AI voice assistant by lightly pressing the temple, enabling seamless interaction and task performance, showcasing the world’s lightest binocular AR glasses as a personal, everyday smart assistant.

Partnership With Qualcomm Technologies and AlpsenTek

OPPO, in collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies and AlpsenTek, unveiled the Hybrid Vision Sensing (HVS) technology featuring a new AI Motion algorithm. This technology improves image deblurring and enables high frame rate slow-motion videos on mobile phones. The OPPO Find X7 Ultra, along with innovative features like the AI Eraser, is on display at MWC 2024

    OPPO AI Center

In a move to elevate AI to the core of its long-term growth strategy, OPPO announced the establishment of the OPPO AI Center. This hub is dedicated to advancing research and development in AI, aiming to drive user-centric exploration of technology and applications.

The OPPO AI Smartphone White Paper, released alongside the center’s establishment, outlines the company’s vision for AI smartphones replacing traditional smartphones. As of December 2023, OPPO has filed over 3,160 global patents related to AI, reflecting its dedication to technological advancements in this field.
