Safaricom Mdogo Mdogo smartphone plan offers customers a chance to own 4G powered devices and pay for them in installments over a period of time. This program has been running for a few years and lets customers pay on a daily or weekly basis till they complete the whole amount. This is great for those who may not have the exact amount when making the purchase but can commit to a daily or weekly payment. Defaulting will lead to the device being locked till payment is made. According to Lipa Mdogo Mdogo terms, “Should you be in default on the 4th day, you will be barred from all outgoing calls and SMS.”

Lipa Mdogo Mdogo tends to focus on the entry level smartphones including the Safaricom Neon devices. With this program, Safaricom’s aim has been to push adoption of 4G devices in the entry level segment. Most entry level smartphones tend to support 3G connectivity and the telco wanted to change this with the program.
