EziPay has announced a new partnership with MFS Africa to enable last-mile connectivity for remittances and collections to and from mobile money wallets and bank accounts in Africa. This partnership is timely as mobile money is increasingly being adopted at unprecedented rates in Africa, with businesses and individuals seeking solutions that allow them to transact across regions.

MFS Africa, which connects over 400 million mobile money wallets, 200 million bank accounts, and 120,000 agents in Nigeria, has enabled more possibilities, connections, and interoperability for individuals and businesses. Meanwhile, EziPay, with a presence in 14 African countries, has a global user base of over 300,000, including Africans in the diaspora and the local expat community, who use EziPay’s digital wallets for inward and outward remittances.

The partnership is expected to enable cross-continent remittances to Africa from Asia, Europe, the UK, and the USA. Customers will have instant remittances to bank accounts and wallets across Africa, making it easier for individuals and businesses to conduct transactions in a more connected world. With the MFS Africa partnership, EziPay’s customers will be able to send remittances for goods, services, school fees, medical transfers, business transfers, family maintenance allowances, and P2P transfers.

Dare Okoudjou, Founder and CEO at MFS Africa, says that partnering with EziPay makes complete sense, given the organization’s reputation for providing digital wallets for inward and outward remittances to MSMEs, SMEs, and individuals across continents. Through partnerships and acquisitions, MFS Africa is committed to achieving interoperability, and this partnership with EziPay is an example of that.

Amit Gaur, Co-Founder and CEO at EziPay, adds that this partnership will make it possible for the company’s customers to transact across Africa for the various reasons that necessitate remittances. EziPay’s global wallet Mauritius offering is currently live with over 90+ countries payout corridors, making it possible for individuals and businesses to access EziPay’s services across continents.

As Africa’s mobile money landscape continues to evolve, partnerships like this are essential to enabling entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level. Ultimately, the partnership between EziPay and MFS Africa will lead to a more connected Africa and a more connected world.
