Samsung to drop its Exynos processors in favor of the Snapdragon CPUs in all its markets

Earlier this year, when Samsung Launched its S22 range of the Galaxy Series, Many of us were disappointed with the Exynos 2200 as we were expecting quite the opposite, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Suppose you have been following up with the way Samsung handles its Products. It should be in the Know that the Korean manufacturer has been using its Exynos chip to power its Galaxy S smartphones in Europe. At the same time, Qualcomm supplies Snapdragon CPUs to us in Africa, Kenya, and the rest of the world.

To start, you may not be aware. Still, this kind of tradition from Samsung has irritated European customers as the manufacturer customarily uses Qualcomm’s most recent Snapdragon SoCs (System on a Chip) in his premium Galaxy S series handsets.

On the other hand, it is publicly known that the manufacturer has always been making changes to some models with a Samsung Exynos chip developed just for the European market. The outcome is that the modified smartphone frequently performs worse in performance tests than Qualcomm’s rival; thus, many European buyers feel disadvantaged.

Analyst and industry insider Ming-Chi Kuo says that, at least. He wants to know if Samsung will abandon its past practices and universally outfit the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as early as 2023. According to Kuo, Qualcomm will provide Samsung with 100% of the necessary smartphone chips in 2023 instead of only 70% currently. The already anticipated Exynos-2300 chip was abandoned for unknown reasons, most likely due to a substantial performance gap with the Qualcomm variant.

Kuo claims that Samsung’s chip cannot compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in several areas. Next year, it should also power several flagship devices from other manufacturers so that a slower Exynos CPU might push Samsung’s top smartphones to the background.

Although formal confirmation of this information is still waiting, rumors that Samsung intends to record its two-pronged chip approach have been swirling for months. If prior speculations are accurate, using Qualcomm CPUs uniformly is merely a short-term fix. The first signs of a new strategy emerged as early as April 2022. According to this, Samsung plans to begin supplying its devices with an internal processor for usage in Galaxy smartphones worldwide as early as 2025.
