The Tecno Camon 19 Pro is one of the three devices in the Camon 19 series recently launched in Kenya. You can get the Camon 19 Pro in Kenya for around Ksh 33,799. Being the successor to the Camon 18 series, the Camon 19 has some minor upgrades that make it worth getting.

I have been using the Camon 19 Pro for a few weeks as my main phone and so far there are things I love about it. In this post, I will be highlighting the top 5 things I love to help you decide if this phone tick some or all your boxes.

If you are interested in the other devices in the Camon 19 series, the standard Camon 19 is available for Ksh 23,500 while the Camon 19 Pro 5G is availabl;e for Ksh 41,599.

Back to the main topic, these are the things I love with the Camon 19 Pro.

    The Cameras

Tecno Camon devices are known for their cameras and the Camon 19 Pro is not any different. The phone comes with a triple camera module at the back and one in front for selfies. The back camera module is made up of a 64MP main sensor (wide), 50MP telephoto lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The photos you get with the back camera are quite good. I have been impressed with the night shots I got as they are well detailed with no noise at all. This is very impressive for shots taken in low light conditions.

The selfie camera is a 32MP one that also takes very good shots. Tecno has done a really good job with the cameras on the Camon 19 Pro and you will not go wrong with this phone if camera performance is your main concern.

    Design and Build

Compared to its predecessors, the Tecno Camon 19 Pro has a modern and premium touch. The phone has a flat back with the two camera modules standing out at the back. It does feel good to hold and its size is just right to use it with one hand.

Tecno seems to be adopting this new design language with flat designs and I love it. The phones look different, modern and premium.

    Display

The Tecno Camon 19 Pro has a 6.8 inch display with 120Hz refresh rate. This ensures a smooth experience when using the phone for normal tasks and even for gaming. If you have played games like PUBG, then you would appreciate the high refresh rate.

Besides the refresh rate, the display gets bright and vibrant to use under different lighting conditions.

    Performance

The Camon 19 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 processor that has handled everything I have thrown at it without any issues. I have managed to play a few games on this phone and so far there are no issues. It does run through different applications like a beast at all times. The phone also has 8GB of RAM as standard and this helps with multitasking.

    Battery

We do get a 5000 mAh battery on the Tecno Camon 19 Pro. This battery is enough to last most people an entire day or about 6 hours of screen on time. This is good considering how powerful this phone is. You get the best of both worlds as performance is right there at the top and the battery life is not bad either.

This battery supports 33W fast charging that should also help speed up the charging process.
