OPPO has launched its latest flagship series, the OPPO Find X5, in Kenya. This phone is currently available on pre-order and will be available in retail stores as from next month for Ksh 100,000. Those who pre-order the Find X5 get a free wireless charging stand that they can use to charge the

This is the second device in the Find X series to launch in Kenya with the other one being the OPPO Find X from a few years back. OPPO has never really focused on this series in Kenya but it looks like there is a change in strategy going forward.

At Ksh 100,000, the Find X5 is a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S22 and the Xiaomi 12. Both these are good phones and OPPO hopes it can offer an even better option with the Find X5.

“The Find X5 Series elevates the Find X series to a whole new level of beauty – both aesthetic and in terms of capabilities, redrawing the boundaries of the mobile experience across design, imaging, battery technology and performance,” the company said in a statement.

The Find X5 will come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. This display supports 120Hz refresh rate as we have come to expect from flagship devices in 2020.

Powering the Find X5 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor that the company has paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For the cameras, it has a triple setup at the back made up of a 50 MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 13MP telephoto lens. For selfies, it does come with a 32MP front-facing camera from Sony.

A 4,800 mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging should help keep the phone on for an entire day.
