Tecno mobile has today signed Otile Brown as the Chief Creative Officer for its Camon 19 series. The company is set to launch the Camon 19 series in Kenya later this month. The phone is currently available on pre-order through Tecno branded shops across the country.

Tecno hasn’t shared much about this smartphone but we won’t be waiting for long since the launch date is happening in a few weeks.

Companies under Transsion Holdings seem to be taking this new route of working with brand ambassadors as they launch new devices locally. Just recently, itel introduced King Kaka as its brand ambassador with Infinix having Sauti Sol and Tanzanian Star Zuchu as its brand ambassadors. This strategy seems to be working for all these brands as it expands their presence to audiences who may have previously not been interested in their smartphones.

According to Tecno, the Camon 19 IS is designed for customers keen on enjoying crisp audio, pictures, and videos. It also has enough RAM to allow them to multitask more efficiently on the go. Pre-order customers will receive Tecno accessories along with their devices.

I am looking forward to interacting with the Camon 19 as it really looks promising. I just hope the price is reasonable. The current Camon series, the Camon 18 is available locally for around Ksh 22,000. Its successor should be right around this price range.

“As TECNO Mobile, Otile Brown’s diverse creative talent and how he connects with his audience made him a great match for the CAMON 19 series. He is a natural choice for our brand, and we are happy to have partnered with Otile in Kenya. This presents a unique opportunity for us to come together and create something exceptional.” said TECNO Mobile Kenya Brand Manager Peter Shi.

Speaking about the association, Otile Brown stated, “TECNO’s brand vision ‘Stop At Nothing’ is a spirit I believe in. I want to be associated with the brand ethos and create a memorable song to inspire its audience’s CAMON 19 stylish look.”
